We have an opportunity
for YOU
in service to the
Unity of Woodinville
Youth Program!!
We are accepting adult volunteers (25 or older) to
teach, sponsor, and mentor our Unity children in our Youth and
Family Ministry Program.
Did you know ten years ago, on January 30, 1998, our International
Youth of Unity officers made a presentation to the United Nations
during the season for Nonviolence?
Along with their presentation, they also submitted a list of
daily commitments to live by.
Sound familiar?
Come share your talents and be a part of the spiritual development
of these dynamic and influential young people as we begin our own
Unity Youth Program.
Volunteers are
requested for the following programs:
Children’s Ministry:
one teacher each Sunday during the
service to establish a sacred space, pray with children, teach a
lesson from pre-selected Unity curriculum, and supervise a craft
activity for five to eleven year-olds.
Teen Program:
one mentor/sponsor each Sunday to
provide a safe place for teens to gather, discover spiritual truths,
and develop healthy relationships.
This program can be very active and can expand to include
additional social and service activities as active participants of
Uniteens (middle school/junior high) and Y.O.U. (high school).
Babies and Toddlers:
volunteers with infancy and toddler
experience to provide child care when our paid child care provider
is unable to attend.
Teacher/Mentor
Abilities:
-
Ability to love- To see the life and beauty of
God-the-Christ unfolding within each child or teen.

The more you can participate as an adult learner, the
more readily you can create an exciting, “learning atmosphere.”
-
Ability to create a positive, accepting atmosphere
-
Ability to live by Unity Principles
-
Ability to experience joy in helping young people develop their
spiritual selves
